Photography courses

Alongside my photographic and video work, I have provided specialist mentoring for several years, including sharing my knowledge of the industry with students at the University of Portsmouth. I now offer bespoke photography courses, or photography training.  I can work with you on a 1:1 basis, or offer support to small groups.

What to expect

it's important to me to understand what you want to get out of photography, whether for business or for pleasure. I'll listen to your goals and what motivates you.  Then, I'll take a look at your current work to get a feel for your strengths. I'll see what we can build on and we'll take it from there.

It doesn't matter what kind of kit you have, whether you reach for your phone to capture the action, you're experimenting with a bridge camera, or you're happy holding a DSLR,  I can help.  Contact me to find out more.

"I met Pete seven years ago. He was hired as our brand photographer for a large commercial company I worked at and his images were amazing, he is still much loved by the marketing team.

Over time we got talking as I’d dabbled in wedding photography and Pete saw something in my work.  Ever since that day he has been my mentor and go to for anything I’m unsure about.

I’m not much of a technical photographer, I’m all about the emotion but you can’t get by on just that. Pete has been amazing with any shoot I’ve lacked confidence in, he has always been on the end of the phone helping me with what lighting to buy, how to set the lights up, questioned me when I thought I needed to change cameras and set me on a different path. Honestly there is no question too daft, and he is always there on the phone helping me to build my confidence up and prepare me for any shoots I’m unsure of.

When the company I worked for went into liquidation in 2018 he was one of the first people to ring and check I was ok, and when I decided to make a business out of my photography he was great at talking all the elements through with me.

All round wonderful bloke, there is nothing Peter doesn’t know and he loves sharing his passion with like minded people."
